WeatherKitten V1.0.0 (iOS client for WeatherCat) is now available in beta!

A new iOS client is now available in beta for WeatherCat 3 and later.

WeatherKitten is an iOS client for WeatherCat that includes an overview dashboard, all channels, webcam image, charts and statistics. WeatherKitten will run on iPhone, iPad and Macs with M-class processors.

You can grab WeatherKitten via TestFlight from the following link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/rCP5qcAS

Full compatibility requires WeatherCat 4 which is currently in development (see below) but WeatherKitten will also work with WeatherCat 3 with the following limitations: delta indicators, chart functionality and webcam imagery will be disabled.

WeatherCat V4 – Early development release now available for testing

Hello folks,

An early development release of WeatherCat V4 is now available for testing. For more information please see: https://athena.trixology.com/index.php?topic=3671.0 (please note that you’ll need to be registered and logged in on the forums to see the development forum).

This is an early development release and as such we do not recommend running it unless you have previous experience with WeatherCat testing – please see the forum post for more details.

In other news, some of you may know that due to the UK’s online safety act, we had to make the forums read only in March last year. The good news is we now believe we are compliant and as such the forums are now fully open again. See https://athena.trixology.com/index.php?topic=3670.0 for details.

Finally, there’s a short blog post with thoughts on Ecowitt stations, which you may find interesting/entertaining – you can read it at https://athena.trixology.com/index.php?topic=3673.0

   4.   Added monthly and yearly rain channels for WeatherLink Live.
   5.   Fixed a crash that could occur when setting up a network connection.
