Through skillfully moving things onto the to-do list and straight graft, we are down to two, maybe three items left to complete before we can start testing.
Thank you for the update! As you’ve already said – it is far better to take more time to get it right than to have to do it over. You only need to read the current news headlines for ample evidence of that! 🙂
P.S. Anyone interested in an Ocean Liner – cheap? Admittedly, it is a bit of a fixer upper and you’ll have to come pick it up 🙂
Will this product allow for the editing of MONTHLY rainfall data?
One of the biggest issues I have had with LWC 2.1.1 is that it is constantly getting the monthly rainfall total wrong over time. LWC does not allow for the easy editing of monthly rainfall data stats through the use of an offset, or the ability to force the software to use the monthly rainfall total from the Davis VP2 hardware instead of its own calculations which are not working properly. Either of which would be a welcome change from LWC.
Thanks.

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately it isn’t possible to comment on details/features at the moment, but I can tell you that development is pretty much finished and we’re aiming to get a test build out as soon as we can.
I will look forward to checking it out. I will assume that this new product will be able to run all of the various automation options (LWC’s Custom Alerts) using an imported preferences file. Being able to pick up where LWC left off in terms of user settings would be a “must-have” feature for me and the fully automated station/website I run here. Without that ability, I’m afraid that would not be interested in your new product.
Cheers and thanks again for the prompt reply.

You should be OK – WeatherCat will import any LWC settings it finds.
I definitely look forward to seeing what you have come up with here! While LWC is stable enough to be used for the duration on my system, I would like to see a few things added and also be able to get those few remaining issues corrected.
